Dubai - Cairo Outfit Planner
Hi Y'all.
I went to Dubai and Cairo at the end of the year with the boys. You can read all of our adventures in the following posts. Today’s post is about the outfits I planned for the trip.
One thing you should keep in mind is that the weather in Dubai and Cairo was turning cold, colder than Dakar. Therefore I had to pack for it. Plus, I knew I had to move around and walk a lot.
Here is what I took with me:
Top: 2 Long sleeves tees (black and cream), 2 turtle neck tees (black and brown), striped tee-shirt, denim shirt, striped shirt
Bottom: Green cargo pants, Denim wide leg pants, black snake print leggings
Set: Black beaded shirt and pants sets, pleated pants and bodysuit
Dress: printed sleeveless, red midi
Outerwear: striped sweater, grey knit, grey hoodie, golden cardigan, fuchsia parka jacket and poncho
Underwear: 6 panties, 3 bras, 4 tank tops, 1 slip dress, 1 biker short, grey leggings
Sleepwear: Knit grey pyjama , floral pyjama
Scarf: green and blue jersey scarves, printed scarf, burgundy scarf, leopard snood, velvet brown and red turbans, black silk scarf and beaded knit headband,
Shoes: silver sneakers, beige leather sandals, golden slingbacks
Bags: taupe crossbody bag, red tote bag
And here is how I wore it:
Dubai looks:
Travel look: Grey hoodie, denim shirt, striped tee, snakeskin leggings, silver sneakers and red tote bag
Dubai had a mild weather therefore I could sometimes go out without a jacket on. But the cold in Cairo was a surprise. I have not felt this cold since January 2013 when we left Japan for India. Our first night in Cairo, the temperatures dropped to 10 degrees. Walking outside, I could feel the wind slapping my face. Needless to say that I dressed more to stay warm than to be stylish. And I did something that I have not done in a while, which is "Keufeulou" or layering clothes in Wolof, such as wearing leggings underneath my pants to stay warm. Thankfully it was not colder the rest of our stay.
This trip was really memorable and I will tell you all about it in future posts. Watch this space!
